There has been some major progress on the reconstruction for the ER Associates HQ building.  The parking lot was leveled and expanded, changes made to the facade, the interior was stripped and gutted. 

It's still a work in progress with electrical, masonry, plumbing and drywall contractors working dilligently to get us ready for a March 2010 move in.  While it's not much to look at now, you have to have the vision......check out some of the changes made so far.

Encouraging words precede sober facts

Some 1,400 people filled the fieldhouse at St. John Fisher College on Friday to get revved up about Rochester.

Actually, a lot of them were amped up before the third annual Eyes on the Future conference started. These are people who already are committed to this region as a good place to live, work, volunteer and, for many of them, build businesses.

"You have a distinct competitive advantage " said keynote speaker Richard Bendis, a Philadelphia-based authority on innovation, referring, among other things, to Rochester's educated and skilled work force.

Our new building is currently under renovation and should be ready for us to move in as of March, 2010.  Don't worry - we have great vision!  There will be  new space for our recruiting teams and clients, lots of free parking, a BENCHES ON PARADE bench, and new landscaping.  Stay tuned for updated photos.  Become a Facebook Fan and follow our progress!  Read more to see our pictures...

Please help us congratulate Jill Knittel. Jill has been on the St. John Fisher Alumni board for 5 years and was named President in June.

As the President, Jill will act as a liaison between the college and its alumni and serve as an advisory on major issues and decisions affecting the college. Jill will also assist in raising funds for the college by supporting fundraising efforts and participating in volunteer activities.

This year Eyes on the Future is going to be focused on a cause for action to improve our community here in Rochester. Last year the message from Governor Patterson and business leaders was that Rochester needs to do more with less and get everyone involved. As a community, we listened to solutions and discussed issues and this year we are acting on them.

As a direct outcome of the positive momentum created by the past two Eyes on the Future economic summits, we have added the EyesExpo which will take place before and after the summit. The EyesExpo is a business and career event which will drive specific actions for developing growth and opportunity for the region.
