Job seekers, how often have you taken advantage of the information on Glassdoor.com? For those of you who are unfamiliar with the information-packed website, Glassdoor.com is a compilation of reviews about companies, bosses, salary ranges, etc. Past and current employees go online and rate their companies and offer details on the reasons for such ratings. Another huge benefit? Past interviewees share some of the oddball questions you can expect during an interview with a particular company!

I definitely recommend doing some research on Glassdoor.com before your interview (although not all companies are listed), but take everything with a grain of salt. One jilted employee could write a negative review and make it seem like a terrible place to work. Remember that many people have had positive working experiences but did not take the time to post their comments.

Next, take a look at the salaries to help in negotiating your own salary come job offer time. Educate yourself on a potential employer as much as possible as it will only help you in the long run. If you aren’t looking for a job, then go on and give a review for your own company!

What information did you find most helpful on Glassdoor.com in preparing for your interview?
